Mid Century Modern

Designed for a young couple moving from the city to Bowen Island.  This house channels a mid-century vibe.  A simple shed roof follows the natural grades of the bedrock and creates a two story living space.  The wood windows and ceilings received a white wash stain to give the home a Scandinavian modern feel.

We located custom storage under the main stair.  The lighting fixtures are intentionally understated to allow the focus be on the elegant simplicity of the space.  As a special request by the client we located a large round window over the folding door system which frames a stunning  view of a feature Douglas Fir tree with a view of Keats Island and beyond.
