EASTERN TOWNSHIPS RESORT

St Sauvier, Quebec

James developed these sketches and architectural concepts to create a new resort village in the heart of Quebec’s Eastern storied Townhsips. The architecture is rooted both in a new wooden modernism as well as having a unique nod to Quebec’s French Colonial history. The focus of the village is a arched covered bridge, which brings a story book charm to this project. The pedestrian areas are adorned with natural stone a theme common in old Quebec. The daylodge introduces a modern take on the village’s architecture with its soaring butterfly roof, wood cladding and adjacent pedestrian plazas.
