This project realizes a lifelong dream of our client, who swapped architecture school in second year to become a doctor. Truly a partnership between client and architect this innovative residence includes an indoor swimming pool, a home office and a flexible studio space which doubles as guest accommodations. Situated on a rocky bluff high up above the channel below the site offered clues to a design strategy that positions the home on top a rock outcropping with outstanding views to the east and a forest backdrop to the west.

Three levels of terraces offer a variety of outdoor spaces for relaxation and gardening. A number of sliding and eclipse doors connect the interior spaces to those terraces. A bold and varied roofscape creates a striking silhouette and iconic massing creating an iconic architecture that is a testament to the owner’s vision.
