Mustang Ranch is a prosed neo-traditional resort and beach community located on Texas’s Gulf Coast. JWT was engaged to create architectural prototypes to help define the Town Plan. We created a series of residential typologies including attached single family homes, townhomes and three storey walk-ups all of which would have a public side fronting onto a town green and a private service side providing vehicular access in a discrete manner. Inspired by a fusion of Spanish colonial and West Indies architecture, our designs propose a vibrant and lively ambiance to a quaint and storybook village. Ground level units include private outdoor areas as well as public front including cantilevered balconies and captivating front entrances, allowing residents to walk from their home onto the town green and then onto the beach.
